Hello everyone again, today I will talk about my experience learning English at university.  Last year I studied English in both semesters, the truth is that in online format you couldn't participate much or verbally practice the language, but it wasn't a bad experience either. We also use blogs, the truth is that I really like this dynamic to interact with my classmates and get to know them a bit more, I find it a fun application.  As for my performance, I think I still have a lot of practice to do, it is very difficult for me to speak fluently and I am very embarrassed to do so. I don't feel comfortable speaking English, but when I read it or listen to it I understand it without problems, what I find difficult is talking to another person. Also outside of class I hardly use it, sometimes to watch films or memes, when listening to songs, but beyond that I don't use English.   I also leave a photo in English class

Changes to my study programme

Hi everyone! Today I will talk about things I would like to change in the career I am studying. Although I really like studying psychology, I think there are a lot of filler subjects in the curriculum that only add to the academic load and slow us down when it comes to completing the degree, as we can't always take them. I would also change the learning modality, I think we can learn more than just reading. Many times we only read authors and the whole course is about reading, going to class and continuing to talk about what we read.  In terms of infrastructure I think the faculty of social sciences is fine, maybe I would add more places to sit or eat or more study rooms, but overall I like it a lot.  See you in the next blog!

Time travel to the past or future

Imagen
Hi everyone! I will tell you where I would like to travel in time.  I would like to go back to 2020, exactly when Lenteja, my hamster, came into my life. The reason is that it was the best day of my life, I always wanted to have a small animal companion and finally he came into my life.  She accompanied me for almost three years, the reason to be able to go back to that day is to see her again and to enjoy a moment with her. She made me very happy and I enjoyed very much having her in my hands or climbing my body. She was always very noisy, energetic and playful, for a hamster she was quite sociable and sweet.  I would like to stay a few days so I can go back to giving her carrots and her treats that she liked so much.  In the photo was the first day she was in the house and she was very small, she didn't have her house ready and she didn't know much about hamsters.

My Dream Job

Imagen
Hello everyone again, today I'm going to talk about my dream job.  I am studying psychology because in the future I would like to work as a child and youth psychologist. It is my dream in the future to be able to provide accessible therapy for all types of patients and thus contribute to mental health not being a privilege. I would also like to specialise in eating disorders and autism spectrum disorder.  In the future I see myself with a private practice, in which I can price each session according to the type of patient and according to their needs. My aim is not to profit from people's mental health, but to help society and to be a great contribution to psychology. In a few years I would also like to study a master's degree and a doctorate in clinical psychology in order to be more qualified to give therapy.

The best holidays ever

Imagen
The best holiday I ever had was last winter.  Together with a group of friends I had my first holiday on my own, we went to Temuco for a week, to the Conguillío locality. We stayed in a cabin in front of the Llaima volcano, where we did different activities, starting with spending time in the middle of nature and watching the stars every night while we played guitar. We also went trekking, we saw arauacarias, different fauna and very beautiful places.  It was the best holiday because I was able to visit the south of Chile and get to know a nature reserve. I also had a lot of fun and took a break from university.

A country I would like to visit...

Imagen
Hi everyone! welcome to my new blog One of the countries I would like to visit is Italy, because my family lived there for many years and I love the stories they tell me. It is also a country with an interesting history and it is close to other places I would like to visit. I know a lot of recipes about Italy, I adore Italian food and sweets.  I love pizza margarita and freshly made pasta.  I also know a lot about its history as a country: its role in the world war, among others. A year ago I learned a bit of Italian, I still have a lot to learn, but I can have some conversations and I understand almost everything. I would like to live in Italy, it is one of my dreams. I would like to visit museums and go to monuments, visit tourist places and then go from Italy to other countries. In a few years I want to do a master's degree in psychology or maybe an exchange.

A person who I admire

Imagen
Hi everybody! Today I am going to tell you about a person I admire in the field of psychology.  This person is Karen Horney, she was a German psychologist and was one of the first women to be interested in the branch of psychoanalysis, she had an important contribution in this branch as she was an important critic of it, During her years of studies she realised how sexist the psychoanalytic current was and that many of its theories could not be put into practice because they were only stigmas on the part of men and she took it upon herself to take the principles of psychoanalysis to propose different theories and also to strongly criticise Freud, so much so that she was expelled from the school where she was studying. I admire her a lot because one of the main reasons why I study psychology is because it is made by and for men, creating a gap of inequality when it comes to diagnoses and therapy for women. Many times it is not possible to detect mental disorders so quickly or...
